SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Croatian speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Croatian tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Croatian tutor before they start their course of lessons.

New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school. When you start a Croatian course in Cambridgeshire, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Croatian. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Croatian to communicate in social and business settings.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Croatian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Croatian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Croatian in Cambridgeshire on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Croatian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Croatian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Croatian language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Croatian language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Croatian language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Cambridgeshire Croatian Course Schedules

The Croatian language courses in Cambridgeshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Croatian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Croatian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your level of Croatian and speak to you about your aims so that your Croatian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Croatian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Croatian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Croatian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Croatian language trainers will tailor your Croatian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Croatian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Croatian teachers in Cambridgeshire. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Croatian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Cambridgeshire is a former United Kingdom Parliamentary constituency. It was a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of England then of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800 and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. It was represented by two Knights of the Shire until 1832, when the number of members was increased to three. It was divided between the constituencies of Chesterton, Newmarket and Wisbech in 1885. The parliamentary county was again reconstituted in 1918. In 1983, when the redistribution of seats took place on the basis of the expanded post-1974 Cambridgeshire, the constituency was divided between the new constituencies of North East Cambridgeshire (including a small part of Peterborough), South East Cambridgeshire and South West Cambridgeshire (including a minority of territory from the former Huntingdonshire). The historic county of Cambridgeshire. (Although Cambridgeshire contained the borough of Cambridge, which elected two MPs in its own right, this was not excluded from the county constituency, and owning property within the borough could confer a vote at the county election.
