Croatian Courses for Business in Cambridge

Please click a title below for further information:

All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Croatian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Croatian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Croatian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Croatian teacher before they commence their Croatian lessons.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Croatian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Croatian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Croatian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Our Croatian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Croatian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Croatian in at Cambridge on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Croatian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Croatian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON Croatian language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Croatian language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Croatian courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Croatian training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Croatian courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

Cambridge Croatian Course Schedules

Our Croatian language courses in Cambridge go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Croatian can be arranged on request. Our Croatian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Croatian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Croatian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your goals and level of Croatian experience. Your desire to learn Croatian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Croatian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Croatian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Croatian trainers experience and that your Croatian language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Croatian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Croatian teachers in Cambridge who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Croatian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Croatian Courses Cambridge

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

The city of Cambridge is a university town and the administrative centre of the county of Cambridgeshire, England. It lies in East Anglia about 50 miles (80 km) north-by-east of London. Cambridge is at the heart of the high-technology centre known as Silicon Fen – a play on Silicon Valley and the fens surrounding the city. Cambridge is well known as the home of the University of Cambridge. The university includes the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. The Cambridge skyline is dominated by the last two buildings, along with the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital in the far south of the city and St John's College Chapel tower in the north. According to the United Kingdom Census 2001, the city's population was 108,863 (including 22,153 students), and the population of the urban area (which includes parts of the neighbouring South Cambridgeshire district) is estimated to be 130,000.
