All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Croatian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Croatian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Croatian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Croatian teacher before they commence their Croatian lessons.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Croatian lesson in Ashford almost entirely in Croatian - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Croatian in a variety of social and business situations.

Our Croatian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Croatian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Croatian in at Ashford on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Croatian Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Croatian language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Croatian course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

The Croatian language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Croatian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Croatian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Croatian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Croatian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Ashford Croatian Course Schedules

We run our Croatian language courses in Ashford all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Croatian courses on request. Our Croatian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Croatian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Croatian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Croatian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Croatian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Croatian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Croatian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Croatian language trainers will tailor your Croatian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Croatian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Croatian teachers in Ashford whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Croatian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Ashford is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. In 2005 it was voted the fourth best place to live in the United Kingdom. It lies on the Great Stour river, the M20 motorway, and the South Eastern Main Line and High Speed 1 railways. Its agricultural market is one of the most important in the county. Ashford is a relatively common English place-name: it goes back to Old English æscet, indicating a ford near a clump of ash-trees. As a market town, Ashford has for centuries been a local communications hub for surrounding villages and has stood at the centre of five railway lines, (Ashford to Ramsgate (via Canterbury West) line, Swanley to Ashford (via Maidstone East) Line, South Eastern Main Line, Kent Coast Line and the Marshlink Line) since the 19th century and with the opening of the International Passenger Station is now an important European communications centre, with new lines running between London and the Channel Tunnel (via High Speed 1).
