The Chinese courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Chinese training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. Chinese Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Chinese language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Chinese language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON Chinese language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Chinese language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Chinese courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Chinese training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Chinese courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

London Chinese Course Schedules

Our Chinese language courses in London take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Chinese daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Chinese language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Chinese language course that you undertake will be customised for your Chinese level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Chinese level. You may have little or no experience of Chinese and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Chinese skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Chinese language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Chinese course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Chinese Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Chinese examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Chinese teachers in London who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Chinese examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Standard Chinese is a standardized form of spoken Chinese, based on the Beijing dialect of Mandarin Chinese.
