Chinese Courses for Business in HullPlease click a title below for further information: Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Chinese Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Chinese speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience.
Our Chinese teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Chinese teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Chinese lessons start.
If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience!
Your teacher will conduct your Chinese lesson in Hull almost entirely in Chinese - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Chinese in a variety of social and business situations. Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Chinese language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Chinese training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7.
Progress is faster for those who learn Chinese in Hull on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses. Chinese Course ManagementSIMON & SIMON’s Chinese language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual.
At the start of your Chinese course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON’s Chinese language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Chinese language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange Chinese language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.

Hull Chinese Course SchedulesOur Chinese language courses in Hull run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments.
Our Chinese teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request.
Our intensive Chinese language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad. The content of your Chinese language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Chinese language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on.
You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Chinese survival language skills, or a more proficient Chinese speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration.
You may want to focus on improving your Chinese for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills.
Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Chinese language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Chinese language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives. Chinese Language Examination CoursesWe can also help prepare you for Chinese examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Chinese teachers in Hull with above average experience.
As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Chinese examinations and the issuing of result certificates. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Chinese Courses Hull Standard Chinese is a standardized form of spoken Chinese, based on the Beijing dialect of Mandarin Chinese. Standard Chinese is the official language of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Republic of China (ROC, also known as Taiwan), as well as one of four official languages of Singapore. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. About one-fifth of the world’s population, or over one billion people, speaks some variety of Chinese as their native language. Linguists often view Chinese as a language family, though owing to China's socio-political and cultural situation, and the fact that all spoken varieties use one common written system, it is customary to refer to these generally mutually unintelligible variants as "the Chinese language". Kingston upon Hull usually referred to as Hull, is a city and unitary authority area in the ceremonial county of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It stands on the River Hull at its junction with the Humber estuary, 25 miles (40 km) inland from the North Sea. Hull has a resident population of 258,700 (2008 est.). The Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) population stands at 573,300.
Renamed Kings town upon Hull by King Edward I in 1299, the town and city of Hull has served as market town, military supply port, trading hub, fishing and whaling centre, and industrial metropolis.
Hull was an early theatre of battle in the English Civil Wars. Its 18th-century Member of Parliament, William Wilberforce, played a key role in the abolition of the slave trade in Britain.
The city is unique in the UK in having had a municipally-owned telephone system from 1902, sporting cream, not red, telephone boxes. After suffering heavy damage during the Second World War, Hull weathered a period of post-industrial decline, during which the city gained unfavourable results on measures of social deprivation, education and policing. In recent years the city has embarked on an extensive programme of economic regeneration, reconstruction and urban renewal. The economic crisis since 2008 has caused some setbacks to these developments.
Hull has been the base for several notable poets, including former University of Hull Librarian Philip Larkin, many of whose poems were set in the city.
