All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Bosnian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Bosnian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Bosnian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Bosnian teacher before they commence their Bosnian lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Bosnian lessons in Sussex will be carried out almost completely in Bosnian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Bosnian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Bosnian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Bosnian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Bosnian in Sussex on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Bosnian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Bosnian language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Bosnian course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

Bosnian language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Bosnian language course. We can arrange your Bosnian language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Bosnian language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Sussex Bosnian Course Schedules

Our Bosnian language courses in Sussex go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Bosnian can be arranged on request. Our Bosnian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Bosnian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Bosnian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Bosnian language course we will assess your goals and level of Bosnian experience. Your desire to learn Bosnian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Bosnian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Bosnian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Bosnian trainers experience and that your Bosnian language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Bosnian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Bosnian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Bosnian teachers in Sussex who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Bosnian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Bosnian Courses Sussex

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

Sussex is an historic county in South East England corresponding roughly in area to the ancient Kingdom of Sussex. It is bounded on the north by Surrey, east by Kent, south by the English Channel, and west by Hampshire, and is divided for local government into West Sussex and East Sussex and the city of Brighton and Hove. The city of Brighton & Hove was created a unitary authority in 1997; and was granted City status in 2000. Until then Chichester had been Sussex's only city. The divisions of West Sussex and East Sussex were first established in 1189, and had obtained separate administrations (Quarter Sessions) by the 16th century. This situation was recognised by the County of Sussex Act 1865. Under the Local Government Act 1888 the two divisions became two administrative counties (along with three county boroughs: Brighton, Hastings and, from 1911, Eastbourne). The appellation Sussex remained in use as a ceremonial county until 1974, when the Lord-Lieutenant of Sussex was replaced with one each for East and West Sussex. The whole of Sussex has had a single police force since 1968.
