Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Bosnian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Bosnian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Bosnian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Bosnian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Bosnian lessons start.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Bosnian lessons in Sunderland will be carried out almost completely in Bosnian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Bosnian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Bosnian courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Bosnian courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Bosnian in Sunderland on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Bosnian Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Bosnian language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Bosnian course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

Bosnian language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Bosnian language course. We can arrange your Bosnian language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Bosnian language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Sunderland Bosnian Course Schedules

Our Bosnian language courses in Sunderland take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Bosnian daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Bosnian language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Bosnian language course that you undertake will be customised for your Bosnian level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Bosnian level. You may have little or no experience of Bosnian and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Bosnian skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Bosnian language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Bosnian course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Bosnian Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Bosnian examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Bosnian teachers in Sunderland who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Bosnian examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Bosnian Courses Sunderland

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

The City of Sunderland is a local government district of Tyne and Wear, in North East England, with the status of a city and metropolitan borough. It is named after its largest settlement, Sunderland, but covers a far larger area which includes the towns of Hetton-le-Hole, Houghton-le-Spring, Washington, and a range of suburban villages. The district was formed in 1974 as the Metropolitan Borough of Sunderland as part of the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 and is an amalgamation of four former local government districts of County Durham. It was granted city status in 1992, the 40th anniversary of the Queen Elizabeth II's accession. The city had a population of 280,807 at the time of the 2001 census, with the majority of the population (177,739) residing in Sunderland. The metropolitan borough was formed in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 by the merger of several districts of County Durham - Washington Urban District, Houghton-le-Spring Urban District and Hetton Urban District - with the County Borough of Sunderland. The metropolitan borough was granted city status in 1992, the 40th anniversary of the Queen's accession. At the Queen's Golden Jubilee the city petitioned to be allowed a Lord Mayor, but was unsuccessful. Although the city does not have a Cathedral, as it is located in the Diocese of Durham, it does have Sunderland Minster.
