Sheffield Bosnian Course Schedules

We run our Bosnian language courses in Sheffield all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Bosnian courses on request. Our Bosnian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Bosnian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

Sheffield is a city and metropolitan borough of South Yorkshire, England. Its name derives from the River Sheaf, which runs through the city. Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the city has grown from its largely industrial roots to encompass a wider economic base.
