Bosnian Courses for Business in Poole

Please click a title below for further information:

Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Bosnian courses, taught by a team of qualified native Bosnian speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience. The feedback on our Bosnian tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Bosnian course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Bosnian teacher’s experience and background.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Bosnian lesson in Poole almost entirely in Bosnian - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Bosnian in a variety of social and business situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Bosnian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Bosnian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Bosnian in Poole on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Bosnian Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Bosnian language course. On starting your Bosnian course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

SIMON & SIMON’s Bosnian language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Bosnian language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Bosnian language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Bosnian language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Poole Bosnian Course Schedules

Our Bosnian language courses in Poole run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments. Our Bosnian teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request. Our intensive Bosnian language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad.

The content of your Bosnian language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Bosnian language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on. You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Bosnian survival language skills, or a more proficient Bosnian speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration. You may want to focus on improving your Bosnian for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills. Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Bosnian language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Bosnian language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives.

Bosnian Language Examination Courses

We can also help prepare you for Bosnian examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Bosnian teachers in Poole with above average experience. As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Bosnian examinations and the issuing of result certificates.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Bosnian Courses Poole

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

Poole is a large coastal town and seaport in the county of Dorset, on the south coast of England. The town is 32 kilometres (20 mi) east of Dorchester, and Bournemouth adjoins Poole to the east. The Borough of Poole was made a unitary authority in 1997, gaining administrative independence from Dorset County Council. The town had a population of 138,288 according to the 2001 census, making it the second largest settlement in Dorset. Human settlement in the area dates back to before the Iron Age. The earliest recorded use of the town’s name was in the 12th century when the town began to emerge as an important port, prospering with the introduction of the wool trade. In later centuries the town had important trade links with North America and at its peak in the 18th century it was one of the busiest ports in Britain. During the Second World War the town was one of the main departing points for the D-Day landings of the Normandy Invasion. Poole is a tourist resort, attracting visitors with its large natural harbour, history, the Poole Arts Centre and Blue Flag beaches. The town has a busy commercial port with cross-Channel freight and passenger ferry services. The headquarters of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) are located in Poole, and the Royal Marines have a base in the town's harbour. Despite their names, Poole is the home of The Arts University College at Bournemouth, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and a significant part of Bournemouth University.
