Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Bosnian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Bosnian teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements. We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Bosnian tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Bosnian tutor prior to their Bosnian lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience.

If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile. Your Bosnian teacher in Leicester will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Bosnian. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Bosnian.

The Bosnian courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Bosnian training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Bosnian courses at Leicester are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Bosnian Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Bosnian language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Bosnian course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

The Bosnian language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Bosnian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Bosnian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Bosnian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Bosnian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Leicester Bosnian Course Schedules

We run our Bosnian language courses in Leicester all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Bosnian courses on request. Our Bosnian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Bosnian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Bosnian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Bosnian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Bosnian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Bosnian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Bosnian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Bosnian language trainers will tailor your Bosnian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Bosnian Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Bosnian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Bosnian teachers in Leicester whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Bosnian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Bosnian Courses Leicester

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

Leicester is a city and unitary authority area in the East Midlands area of England. It is also the county town of Leicestershire. The city lies on the River Soar and at the edge of the National Forest. In 2006, the population of the Leicester unitary authority was estimated at 289,700, the largest in the East Midlands, whilst 441,213 people lived in the wider Leicester Urban Area. Eurostat's Larger Urban Zone listed the population of the area at 772,400 people as of 2004. Leicester is the 10th most populous settlement in the United Kingdom using the 2001 census definitions and the urban area is the fifteenth largest conurbation in the UK, the second largest in the region behind the Nottingham Urban Area. Ancient Roman pavements and baths remain in Leicester from its early settlement as Ratae Corieltauvorum, a Roman military outpost in a region inhabited by the Celtic Corieltauvi tribe. Following the demise of Roman society the early medieval Ratae Corieltauvorum is shrouded in obscurity, but when the settlement was captured by the Danes it became one of five fortified towns important to the Danelaw. The name "Leicester" is thought to derive from the words castra of the "Ligore", meaning a camp on the River Legro, an early name for the River Soar. Leicester appears in the Domesday Book as "Ledecestre". Leicester continued to grow throughout the Early Modern period as a market town, although it was the Industrial Revolution that facilitated an unparalleled process of unplanned urbanisation in the area.
