Bosnian Courses for Business in Cumbria

Please click a title below for further information:

Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Bosnian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Bosnian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Bosnian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Bosnian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Bosnian lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Bosnian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Bosnian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Bosnian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

We offer Bosnian courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Bosnian training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money. Those who learn Bosnian at Cumbria on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Bosnian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Bosnian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Bosnian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

The Bosnian language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Bosnian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Bosnian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Bosnian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Bosnian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Cumbria Bosnian Course Schedules

The Bosnian language courses in Cumbria that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Bosnian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Bosnian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Bosnian language course we will assess your level of Bosnian and speak to you about your aims so that your Bosnian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Bosnian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Bosnian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Bosnian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Bosnian language trainers will tailor your Bosnian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Bosnian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Bosnian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Bosnian teachers in Cumbria. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Bosnian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Bosnian Courses Cumbria

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

Cumbria is a non-metropolitan county in North West England, United Kingdom. Cumbria, and a new local authority called Cumbria County Council, came into existence as a county in 1974 after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972. The county consists of six districts, and in 2008 had a total population of just under half a million. Cumbria as a whole is one of the most sparsely populated counties in the UK with 73.4 people per km2 (190/sq mi). Despite this, the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness has a population density over twelves times this at 921/km2 (2,385.3/sq mi). Cumbria, the third largest ceremonial county in England by area, is bounded to the north by the Scottish council area of Dumfries and Galloway, to the west by the Irish Sea, to the south by Lancashire, to the southeast by North Yorkshire, and to the east by County Durham and Northumberland. A predominantly rural county, Cumbria contains the Lake District and associated Lake District National Park, considered one of the most beautiful areas of England. The area has provided inspiration for generations of British and foreign artists, writers and musicians. Much of the county is mountainous, and it contains every peak in England over 900 metres (3,000 ft) above sea level, with Scafell Pike at 978 metres (3,209 ft) being the highest point in England. Long existing as an upland, coastal and rural area, Cumbria's heritage is characterised by a broad number of invasions, migration and settlement.
