All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Bosnian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Bosnian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Bosnian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Bosnian teacher before they commence their Bosnian lessons.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Bosnian lessons in Colchester will be almost entirely through the medium of Bosnian. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Bosnian with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Bosnian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Bosnian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Bosnian in Colchester on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Bosnian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Bosnian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Bosnian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON Bosnian language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Bosnian language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Bosnian courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Bosnian training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Bosnian courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

Colchester Bosnian Course Schedules

We run Bosnian language courses in Colchester all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Bosnian weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Bosnian language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Bosnian language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Bosnian language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Bosnian conversational skills or have more proficiency in Bosnian and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Bosnian for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Bosnian language trainers will work with you on a Bosnian language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Bosnian Language Examination Courses

Bosnian examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Bosnian teachers in Colchester with experience above the average. SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Bosnian examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Bosnian Courses Colchester

Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet.

Colchester is an historical town and the largest settlement within the borough of Colchester in Essex, England. At the time of the census in 2001 it had a population of 104,390. However, the population is rapidly increasing, and has been named as one of Britain's fastest growing towns. As the oldest recorded Roman town in Britain, Colchester claims to be the oldest town in Britain. It was for a time the capital of Roman Britain and also claims to have the United Kingdom's oldest recorded market. Colchester is 60 miles (97 km) northeast of London. It is connected to the capital by the A12 road and the Great Eastern Main Line. It is seen as a popular town for commuters, and is less than 30 miles away from Stansted Airport. Colchester is home to the University of Essex, Colchester Zoo, Colchester Castle and Colchester United Football Club. It has a Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament.
