Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Bosnian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Bosnian teacher before they commence their Bosnian lessons. The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile.
The Communicative Approach means that your Bosnian lessons in Cambridge will be almost entirely through the medium of Bosnian. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Bosnian with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. Our Bosnian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Bosnian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Bosnian in at Cambridge on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Bosnian Course ManagementOne of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Bosnian language course.
On starting your Bosnian course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you. SIMON & SIMON has arranged Bosnian language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Bosnian language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond.
The vast majority of our Bosnian lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Bosnian lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient.
We can also arrange full-time residential Bosnian language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations. Cambridge Bosnian Course SchedulesWe run Bosnian language courses in Cambridge all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow.
Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Bosnian weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive Bosnian language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week. Your Bosnian language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Bosnian language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in.
Students may be complete novices who need everyday Bosnian conversational skills or have more proficiency in Bosnian and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently.
Students may desire to bolster their Bosnian for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills.
No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Bosnian language trainers will work with you on a Bosnian language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals. Bosnian Language Examination CoursesBosnian examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Bosnian teachers in Cambridge with experience above the average.
SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Bosnian examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Bosnian Courses Cambridge Bosnian is a name commonly used for Serbo-Croatian as spoken by Bosniaks. As a standardized form of the Shtokavian dialect, it is one of three Serbo-Croatian standards used officially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same subdialect of Shtokavian is also the basis of standard Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, so all are mutually intelligible. Up until the dissolution of former SFR Yugoslavia, they were treated as a unitary Serbo-Croatian language, and that term is still used to refer to the common base (vocabulary, grammar and syntax) of what are today officially four national standards. The Bosnian standard uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabet. The city of Cambridge is a university town and the administrative centre of the county of Cambridgeshire, England. It lies in East Anglia about 50 miles (80 km) north-by-east of London. Cambridge is at the heart of the high-technology centre known as Silicon Fen – a play on Silicon Valley and the fens surrounding the city.
Cambridge is well known as the home of the University of Cambridge. The university includes the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. The Cambridge skyline is dominated by the last two buildings, along with the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital in the far south of the city and St John's College Chapel tower in the north.
According to the United Kingdom Census 2001, the city's population was 108,863 (including 22,153 students), and the population of the urban area (which includes parts of the neighbouring South Cambridgeshire district) is estimated to be 130,000.
