Arabic Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Arabic language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Arabic course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. The vast majority of our Arabic lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Arabic lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. Wiltshire Arabic Course Schedules

Our Arabic language courses in Wiltshire go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Arabic can be arranged on request. Our Arabic courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Arabic courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Arabic language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Arabic language course we will assess your goals and level of Arabic experience. Your desire to learn Arabic may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Arabic to discuss business. Arabic Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Arabic examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Wiltshire is a ceremonial county in South West England. It is landlocked and borders the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire. It contains the unitary authority of Swindon and covers 3,485 km2 (861,000 acres). The ancient county town was Wilton, but since 1930 Wiltshire County Council and its successor Wiltshire Council (from 2009) have been based at Trowbridge. The Battle of Bedwyn was fought in 675 between Escuin, a West Saxon nobleman who had seized the throne of Queen Saxburga, and King Wulfhere of Mercia. In 878 the Danes invaded the county.
