Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Arabic Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Arabic speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Arabic teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Arabic teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Arabic lessons start.

New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school. When you start a Arabic course in Norwich, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Arabic. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Arabic to communicate in social and business settings.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Arabic language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Arabic training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Arabic in Norwich on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Arabic Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Arabic language course. On starting your Arabic course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

The Arabic language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Arabic language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Arabic lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Arabic lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Arabic language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Norwich Arabic Course Schedules

We run Arabic language courses in Norwich all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Arabic weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Arabic language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Arabic language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Arabic language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Arabic conversational skills or have more proficiency in Arabic and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Arabic for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Arabic language trainers will work with you on a Arabic language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Arabic Language Examination Courses

Arabic examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Arabic teachers in Norwich with experience above the average. SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Arabic examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Norwich is a city in England. It is the regional administrative centre and county town of Norfolk. During the 11th century, Norwich was the second largest city in England, after London, and one of the most important places in the kingdom. The built up area of Norwich has a population of 259,100. This area extends beyond the city boundary, with extensive suburban areas on the western, northern and eastern sides, including Costessey, Hellesdon, Old Catton, Sprowston and Thorpe St Andrew. The parliamentary seats cross over into adjacent local government districts. 135,800 (2008 est.) people live in the City of Norwich and the population of the Norwich Travel to Work Area (i.e. the area of Norwich in which most people both live and work) is 367,035 (the 1991 figure was 351,340). Norwich is the fourth most densely populated local government district within the East of England with 3,480 people per square kilometre (8,993 per square mile).
