Arabic Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Arabic language course. On starting your Arabic course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

SIMON & SIMON’s Arabic language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Arabic language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Arabic language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Merseyside Arabic Course Schedules

Our Arabic language courses in Merseyside take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Arabic daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Arabic language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Arabic language course that you undertake will be customised for your Arabic level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Arabic level. You may have little or no experience of Arabic and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Arabic skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Arabic language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Arabic course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Arabic Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Arabic examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Arabic teachers in Merseyside who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Arabic examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Merseyside is a metropolitan county in North West England, with a population of 1,365,900. Taking its name from the River Mersey, Merseyside came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974, after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972, and the county consists of five metropolitan boroughs adjoining the Mersey Estuary, including the City of Liverpool. Merseyside County Council was abolished in 1986, and so its districts (the metropolitan boroughs) are now effectively unitary authorities. However, the metropolitan county is still recognised for ceremonial and administrative purposes. Merseyside is divided into two parts by the Mersey Estuary: the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral is located to the west of the estuary on the Wirral Peninsula; the rest of the county is located on the eastern side of the estuary. The eastern boroughs of Merseyside border Lancashire to the north and Greater Manchester to the east, and both parts of Merseyside, west and east of the estuary, border Cheshire to the south. The territory comprising the county of Merseyside previously consisted of the county boroughs of Birkenhead, Wallasey, Liverpool, Bootle, Southport and St Helens. Birkenhead and Wallasey were part of the county of Cheshire, whilst Liverpool, Bootle, Crosby, Formby, Southport and St Helens were part of the county of Lancashire.
