Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON Arabic Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified Arabic teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency. Feedback from clients on our Arabic tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their Arabic Lessons.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Arabic teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Arabic means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Arabic in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Arabic courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Arabic courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Arabic in Leicestershire on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Arabic Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Arabic language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Arabic course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Arabic language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Arabic language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Arabic language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. For a list of the locations of the full-time residential Arabic language courses that we offer, contact our office.

Leicestershire Arabic Course Schedules

The Arabic language courses in Leicestershire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Arabic courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Arabic language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Arabic language course we will assess your level of Arabic and speak to you about your aims so that your Arabic language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Arabic before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Arabic when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Arabic in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Arabic language trainers will tailor your Arabic course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Arabic Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Arabic examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Arabic teachers in Leicestershire. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Arabic examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Leicestershire is a landlocked county in central England. It takes its name from the heavily populated City of Leicester, traditionally its administrative centre, although the City of Leicester unitary authority is today administered separately from the rest of Leicestershire. The county borders onto Derbyshire to the north-west, Nottinghamshire to the north, Rutland to the east, Warwickshire to the south-west, Staffordshire to the west, Lincolnshire to the north-east, and Northamptonshire to the south-east. The border with Warwickshire is Watling Street (the A5). County Hall, situated in Glenfield, about 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Leicester city centre, is the seat of Leicestershire County Council and the headquarters of the county authority. The City of Leicester is administered from offices in Leicester itself and the City Council meets at Leicester Town Hall.
