Gloucester Arabic Course Schedules

Our Arabic language courses in Gloucester take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Arabic daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Arabic language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Arabic language course that you undertake will be customised for your Arabic level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Arabic level. You may have little or no experience of Arabic and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Gloucester is a city, district and county town of Gloucestershire in the South West region of England. Gloucester lies close to the Welsh border, and on the River Severn, approximately 32 miles (51 km) north-east of Bristol, and 45 miles (72 km) south-southwest of Birmingham. Gloucester was founded in AD 48 by the Romans as Glevum, and was granted its first charter in 1155 by King Henry II.
