Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Arabic Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Arabic speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Arabic teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Arabic teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Arabic lessons start.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Arabic lessons in Essex will be carried out almost completely in Arabic. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Arabic to communicate in various business and social situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Arabic language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Arabic training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Arabic in Essex on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Arabic Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Arabic languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Arabic course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON Arabic language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Arabic language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Arabic courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Arabic training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Arabic courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

Essex Arabic Course Schedules

Our Arabic language courses in Essex go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Arabic can be arranged on request. Our Arabic courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Arabic courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Arabic language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Arabic language course we will assess your goals and level of Arabic experience. Your desire to learn Arabic may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Arabic to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Arabic in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Arabic trainers experience and that your Arabic language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Arabic Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Arabic examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Arabic teachers in Essex who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Arabic examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Arabic Courses Essex

Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Essex is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan county in the East region of England, and one of the home counties. It is located to the northeast of Greater London and is one of the most populous counties in England. Essex County Council is the principal local authority for much of the county, sharing functions with twelve district councils. The county town is Chelmsford. The southern Essex boroughs of Thurrock and Southend-on-Sea are governed separately as unitary authorities. It was established in antiquity and formed the eastern portion of the Kingdom of Essex. Sections of the county closer to London are part of the Metropolitan Green Belt, which prohibits development. It is the location of the regionally significant Lakeside Shopping Centre and London Stansted Airport; and the new towns of Basildon and Harlow. The name Essex originates in the Anglo-Saxon period of the Early Middle Ages and has its root in the Old English Ēastseaxe (i.e. the "East Saxons"), the eastern kingdom of the Saxons.
