Arabic Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Arabic language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Arabic course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

The Arabic language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Arabic language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Arabic lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Arabic lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Arabic language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Buckingham Arabic Course Schedules

We run Arabic language courses in Buckingham all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Arabic weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Arabic language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Arabic language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Arabic language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Arabic conversational skills or have more proficiency in Arabic and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Arabic for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Arabic language trainers will work with you on a Arabic language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Arabic Language Examination Courses

Arabic examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Arabic teachers in Buckingham with experience above the average. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Arabic is a Central Semitic language, thus related to and classified alongside other Semitic languages such as Hebrew and the Neo-Aramaic languages. Arabic has more speakers than any other language in the Semitic language family. It is spoken by more than 280 million people as a first language, most of whom live in the Middle East and North Africa. It is the official language of 22 countries and it is the liturgical language of Islam since it is the language of the Quran, the Islamic Holy Book. Arabic has many different, geographically distributed spoken varieties, some of which are mutually unintelligible. Modern Standard Arabic (sometimes called Literary Arabic) is widely taught in schools, universities, and used in workplaces, government and the media.

Buckingham is a town situated in north Buckinghamshire, England, approximately 10 miles (16.1 km) from the border with Northamptonshire. The town has a population of 11,572 (United Kingdom Census 2001), (2007 est. 13,200). Buckingham is also a civil parish designated as a town council. Historically, Buckingham was the county town of Buckinghamshire having been declared so in the in the 10th century when it was made the capital of the newly-formed shire of Buckingham until Aylesbury took over this role early in the 18th century. Buckingham has a variety of restaurants and pubs, typical of a small market town. It has a small number of local shops, both national and independent. Market days are Tuesday and Saturday, with a farmers' market held on the first Tuesday of each month. Buckingham is twinned with Mouvaux, France.
